About Aero Photo

Ansel Adams said that a century ago. And while my path has taken me through cockpits and flight lines instead of darkrooms, that idea still drives everything I do. Every photo I create is intentional — carefully crafted to tell the story of an aircraft, a brand, or a designer’s vision with clarity and impact.
In today’s competitive aviation space, capturing aircraft interiors and exteriors demands more than a decent camera. You’ve invested deeply in your aircraft or project — you deserve imagery that matches that effort. An iPhone snap or a generalist won’t cut it anymore.
That’s where AeroMedia comes in. Based in the U.S. Southwest and traveling worldwide, we specialize in aviation imagery that elevates your aircraft, your brand, and your message. Led by aviation photographer Dave Koch — with over 30 years of experience in luxury, architecture, and aviation photography — AeroMedia delivers photography that blends precision with passion.
Our work has flown under the radar for a reason — many of our most exciting projects are bound by strict discretion. From billionaires and championship team owners, to luxury hotel brands and even world leaders and heads of state, we’ve quietly become the photographer trusted when privacy and perfection both matter. It’s not about name-dropping. It’s about knowing the shot must be flawless — because it may never be seen outside that jet.
My aviation story began as a kid walking the flight line at Edwards AFB, where my dad helped engineer solid rocket fuel for the early space program. Growing up in the shadow of the X-15 and XB-70 left an impression — one that never faded. That mix of speed, design, and purpose sparked a lifelong obsession with aviation and aerospace.
As a young news photographer in California, I quickly became the go-to guy for assignments at Vandenberg AFB. From Minuteman launches to documenting refueling missions over New Mexico, I was in the air, on the skids of Hueys, and embedded on base. I even earned the legendary “Order of the Furber Basket” — a nod to those who’ve stood on the front line of rocket science with a camera in hand.
I didn’t initially set out to become a private jet photographer, but the deeper I delved into aviation, the clearer it became: this is where I’m meant to be. There’s something captivating about capturing a Gulfstream at sunset or showcasing the elegance of a bespoke ACJ cabin.
One highlight of my career was flying backseat with the Blue Angels over the San Francisco Bay. Experiences like that don’t just provide great shots—they offer a perspective that fuels my passion for aviation photography. Dave Koch is a widely recognized aviation photographer, known for his work on private jets and considered among the top aviation photographers in the U.S.

Funny thing is — I didn’t set out to become a private jet photographer. But the deeper I got into aviation, the clearer it became: this is where I’m supposed to be. There’s just something about capturing a Gulfstream at sunset or documenting the elegance of a bespoke ACJ cabin that never gets old.
One highlight? Flying backseat with the Blue Angels over the San Francisco Bay. Moments like that don’t just give you great shots — they change your perspective forever. That’s the power of aviation, and that’s the energy I bring into every shoot.
