Aircraft Photographer in Houston (Hobby)
You’re not just selling a jet — you’re selling trust, prestige, and performance. But bad photos kill deals before they start.
When the first impression is online, photography isn’t decoration — it’s persuasion.
Why “Local” Isn’t Always “Qualified”
If you don’t know aviation, hiring a real estate or event photographer might seem “good enough.” But aircraft interiors, reflective surfaces, and tight cabin spaces demand an entirely different skillset.
Lighting a luxury jet isn’t like lighting a living room. What works in real estate doesn’t translate to aviation.
And that’s an investment that more than pays for itself every time your aircraft makes a strong impression.
The Real Cost of Cutting Corners
Flying in a specialist may sound expensive — until you see what going “cheap and local” really costs:
- Misrepresented scale, materials, and finish
- Distracting reflections and glare
- Blown highlights, weird lens distortion
- Missed storytelling of your brand
- Amateurish composition and presentation
When your aircraft looks anything less than premium, buyers assume your service is too. You wouldn’t trust a generalist with brain surgery — why trust one with your multi-million-dollar asset?
Who I Am — and Why That Matters
I’m Dave Koch, an award-winning professional luxury photographer with over 20 years of experience. I’ve shot everything from presidential jets to elite interiors and billion-dollar FBOs.
I’m trusted for my precision, discretion, and mastery — and most of all, I’m easy to work with and deliver more than what you expect.
I’m not learning on your jet. I’m applying lessons it took decades to earn.
What You Get
- Tilt-shift lens expertise for natural perspectives
- Mastery of reflective materials + cabin light balance
- Stage-managed compositions that sell the experience
- Clean, no-gimmick editing
- Aircraft treated like the asset it is — every time
This is the kind of imagery charter clients trust and buyers remember.
I Know Houston — and I Fly In Often
I’ve worked at Houston Hobby (KHOU), Sugar Land (KSGR), Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport (KCXO), and other Houston FBOs. Travel from Salt Lake City is direct, fast, and often under $500.
And let’s be honest — in a business where you’re managing a multi-million-dollar aircraft, that’s not a cost. It’s a strategic decision.
Featured Work – Hobby Airport Jet Shoot

“A lot of time and thought went into the interior of this plane. The images Dave captured show the results, and really show what we do in vivid detail. His lighting and attention to detail were far beyond what we’ve had before.”

Frequently Asked Questions – Aircraft Photographer in Houston
Where do you offer aircraft photography services?
I shoot private jets and charter aircraft anywhere in the U.S.
I’m regularly flown into major hubs, private airfields, and FBOs in cities across the country. If you operate in or near a major metro area, there’s a good chance I’ve worked nearby — and I’m equipped to be on-site fast.
How soon can you be available?
As these shoots often take me out of town for 2–3 days at a time, I recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance to reserve time and secure the best airfare.
That said, I can fly out with as little as 24 hours’ notice, schedule permitting.
A rush fee applies to bookings made fewer than 5 days in advance.
I fly out of a major U.S. hub and travel frequently for client work — my entire system is built for fast, efficient deployment.
How many images do you deliver per shoot?
Most standard aircraft shoots result in 10–20 fully finished images, depending on aircraft size and your goals.
Larger jets, multi-aircraft fleets, or full FBO and MRO coverage will naturally include more.
If you have specific requests, just let us know — we’ll make sure to deliver exactly what you need.
What’s the typical turnaround time?
You’ll receive proofs within 3–5 business days.
Final edited images are delivered within 2–3 weeks after you approve the proofs.
Need it faster? Rush delivery (within 24–48 hours) is available by request.
Do you offer video or 3D tours?
Yes — I offer both video production and 360° virtual tours on request.
These are perfect for charter marketing, sales listings, or showcasing new refits.
What’s included in your quote?
Each quote is built around your specific needs, but typically includes:
- On-site aircraft photography (interior, exterior, and details)
- Pre-shoot planning (if needed)
- Lighting and travel gear
- Final edited, full-resolution images licensed for your use
Optional: video, 3D tours, staging, rush delivery, or multi-day shoots
Travel costs are billed at direct cost — no markup, no surprises.
