Why Specialist Jet Photography Matters in New York & Teterboro
What Is Professional Jet Photography In Teterboro & NYC?
Professional aircraft photography for Teterboro, Long Island, and the greater NYC area — delivering high‑end interior, exterior, and detail images of private and business jets. I work with owners, brokers, charter operators, refit teams and FBOs to deliver color‑accurate, geometry‑corrected, marketing‑ready photos (with optional video or 360° virtual tours), ensuring your aircraft presents as a premium asset — not just a set of specs.

In This Market, Image Is Value.

If you’re marketing a jet out of the New York area — you’re not selling specs. You’re selling trust, discretion, performance, and a luxury experience that has to come across in seconds.

And the first impression isn’t made on the runway. It’s made online. If you’re searching for an Aircraft Photographer Teterboro, you already know: the right images move serious buyers and charter clients. The wrong ones quietly kill deals.

Bad aircraft photos don’t just look amateur. They lose deals, lower perceived value, and push decision-makers toward aircraft that simply look more put-together.

Why Can’t A General Photographer Handle Jet Interiors?

New York is full of world-class photographers — fashion, architecture, real estate, editorial.

But jets aren’t penthouses, and what works at One57 or 53W53 doesn’t work in aviation.

  • Reflective cabin materials that show every lighting mistake
  • LED lighting chaos that needs careful control and correction
  • Tight, unforgiving interiors with no room to hide errors
  • High-end finishes that demand accurate, believable color

If your photographer doesn’t specialize in jets, they’re learning on your aircraft — and that “learning experience” is paid for with your brand and your asset’s perceived value.

What Cutting Corners Really Costs

When an aircraft doesn’t look premium, people assume the operation isn’t either. And in this corridor — Teterboro, White Plains, Long Island, coastal Connecticut — your buyers and charter clients know exactly what premium should look like.

Here’s what I regularly see from well-meaning but unqualified local photographers:

Color contamination — wrong white balance, fake-looking wood, off-tone leather
No or poor color correction — mixed-source lighting left untouched
Ceiling strip light chaos — color and intensity mismatches never fixed
Improper geometry — bowed lines, tilted perspectives, visual confusion
Wrong camera height — claustrophobic lav shots and awkward cabin views
Weak single-point perspective — no depth, no flow, no storytelling
Bad lens choices — distortion that kills any sense of luxury
Overexposed windows and crushed shadows — lost detail where it matters most
No visual narrative — just snapshots, not a strategic sales sequence

A generalist can’t see these problems.
A specialist never lets them happen.

Who I Am — and Why Clients Fly Me In

I’m Dave Koch, a nationally trusted, award-winning aircraft photographer with 20+ years of experience shooting:

  • Luxury private jets for charter and resale
  • Elite cabin interiors — Gulfstreams, Globals, Falcons, and more
  • High-value refits, including galleys, lavatories, and VVIP lounges
  • Executive aircraft for brokers, flight departments, and management firms

I’ve photographed aircraft at Long Island MacArthur (ISP) and worked with aviation clients from California to Texas to the East Coast. I’m not learning on your jet — I’m applying lessons it took decades to earn.

Built for NYC’s Pace — Based in SLC, On Call for TEB

Yes — I fly in from Salt Lake City.

And that’s not a limitation — it’s exactly why serious clients bring me in. My entire system is built around mobility and reliability.

  • Four precision-packed travel cases — lighting, tilt-shift lenses, backups, staging tools
  • Departure from a major Delta hub — fast, frequent flights into the NYC area
  • On-site professionalism — I show up ready to shoot, no hand-holding required
  • Quiet, efficient workflow — I represent your brand while I’m on your ramp

Flights into the NYC area are frequent and predictable — bringing in a specialist is a strategic investment, not a luxury.

Frequently Asked Questions – Aircraft Photographer in Teterboro & the NYC Region

What types of aircraft do you photograph?

I routinely photograph light jets, midsize jets, super-mids, large-cabin jets and ultra-long-range aircraft throughout the NYC region. This includes:

  • Gulfstream G-Series (G280 → G650/G700)
  • Bombardier Challenger & Global Series
  • Dassault Falcon Series
  • Citation, Embraer, and Phenom series
  • Occasional BBJs, ACJs, and VVIP configurations

If it’s used for VIP transport or commercial charter — I photograph it.

What does a standard aircraft photoshoot include?

A standard jet shoot typically includes:

  • Full interior coverage — cabin, galley, lavatory, cockpit
  • Exterior coverage (when available / permitted)
  • Detail and lifestyle-style cabin accents
  • Balanced lighting and tilt-shift lens work for correct geometry
  • Professional editing — clean, natural, brand-consistent
  • Delivery in both high-res and web-ready formats
  • Clear licensing for resale, charter, and web/print use

Optional add-ons: video, 360° cabin tours, staging assistance, rush delivery, multi-aircraft shoots.

How many final images will I receive per jet shoot?

Most shoots in the Teterboro / NYC area deliver 10–20 fully edited images, depending on aircraft size and your goals (sales, charter, branding).

Large-cabin jets, multi-aircraft fleets, or projects involving lounges/FBOs naturally generate more. If you have a target number or specific shot list, I’ll tailor the shoot around it.

What is the typical turnaround time for proofs and final photos?

You’ll receive proofs within 3–5 business days of the shoot.

Final edited images are delivered within 2–3 weeks of proof approval.

Rush delivery (24–48 hours) is available for time-sensitive listings or charter updates.

Do you travel in from outside the NYC area — and how are travel costs handled?

Yes. I’m based in Salt Lake City and regularly fly into TEB, HPN, ISP, FRG, MMU, BDR, and DXR for aircraft work.

Travel is billed at direct cost only — flights, hotel (if needed), and ground transportation. No markup, no padding, no surprises.

For most clients, bringing in a specialist is a minor cost compared to the value of properly presenting a seven- or eight-figure aircraft.

Do you offer video or 360° virtual tours?

Yes — I offer video production and 360° interactive walkthroughs designed specifically for private aircraft interiors and FBO spaces.

These are ideal for charter marketing, sales listings, FBO branding, or virtual cabin walk-throughs for remote buyers.

Are the images fully licensed for resale, charter listings, and marketing?

Yes. All delivered images come with clear licensing for your intended use — typically:

  • Aircraft resale listings
  • Charter promotion
  • Website & social media
  • Print and digital marketing
  • Internal presentations & client decks

Expanded rights (press features, ad campaigns, co-branded usage) are available on request.

How soon can you be available for a shoot?

Most clients book 1–2 weeks in advance, but I can often fly into the NYC area with 24 hours’ notice, schedule permitting.

Rush bookings (under 5 days) may include an expedited fee due to flight timing and logistics.
